They are very cute and cuddly plus the web site offers a lot of fun activities. It teaches responsibility with taking care of your pets because the child needs to feed, keep them happy and healthy by doing various games. My kids love these! She truly enjoys all the activities on the WebKinz website, and enjoys taking care of her kitty. As we only allow her a certain amount of time on the computer, she definitely has to plan her time well. Her Webkinz Alley Cat has proved to be time well spent. From planning how to spend her Webkinz cash to buy items for her kitty (has helped a lot with her developing math skills), as well as interracting with her other friends and their Webkinz on the Webkinz site has all been great fun. The 6 year old picked out this one! They both love Webkinz and as a parent, I'm pretty impressed with the on-line site - lots to do that is kid appropriate and the ability to share with friends, with no security issues. The only thing I would say is that I was surprised that my 6 year old got the hang of it so fast, but I think it is because she had an older sister to get her started. So, as long as someone can get a younger one started, they will take off! It's just good fun and you still have the stuffed animal to take with you everywhere - and they really are cute as can be!
